Even if you never attended a single function or participated in a program of the Emporia-Greensville Chamber of Commerce, you would benefit from your membership investment.  Each member benefits from all the Chamber does to strengthen the business community and improve quality of life.  Members who are involved make valuable contacts and enjoy heightened visibility for their business while helping set the Chamber’s Business Plan.

Monthly membership luncheons, after hours functions, special events

Many networking opportunities each year allow Chamber members to make valuable business contacts.  The monthly luncheons allow time for members to get to know each other as well as to hear informative speakers.  The no-charge business after hours allows the hosts and guests to promote their business and themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.

Event Sponsorships

All members enjoy increased visibility when they join the Chamber.  When new members join, they are listed in On Track, the Chamber’s newsletter, and they are introduced to the membership at the monthly luncheon.  All members are listed free of charge, alphabetically and categorically, in the Membership Directory & Visitor’s Guide and on the Chamber’s website (www.emporia-greensvillechamber.com).  Members have the opportunity to market their business by purchasing a web page on the Chamber’s website for a minimal annual fee.  Additionally, members are given the opportunity to sponsor one or more of the Chamber’s events.  The sponsors are given recognition at the events, through On Track, signage and special recognition at the Annual Banquet.  Sponsors make a significant contribution to the Chamber’s Business Plan.

Investment in the community

Your membership makes a difference to the community.  The Chamber is your community’s welcome center.  We extend the “red carpet” to our visitors who come wanting to know more about our community.  We receive letters and calls for relocation packages.  The Chamber is often the inquirers initial contact to the community.  Have you ever thought, “What if we did not have a Chamber?”……The educated tourists and the community know the Chamber is where they can obtain information, maps and brochures.  Your investment allows the Chamber to have a Newcomer Program to visit and welcome new residents to our community.  Quality of Life is an important issue and is further enhanced by the Crime Line Program.  This program encourages informants to come forward with leads in solving crimes.  For your investment the Chamber encourages “Shopping at Home and with Chamber Members First.”  Likewise, we refer only Chamber members to our inquirers.  Those who do business in our community are invited to join the Chamber of Commerce; it adds credibility to the business.  With each new membership the Chamber becomes stronger and can be more effective in the community.
